Motivating the Unmotivated

I would love to be able to motivate myself to wake up early in the morning to run. Unfortunately, in the battle that happens every morning, the snooze button usually wins.

I would love for every student to be self-motivated.  Wouldn’t that be fun? School would be so much easier!

I’ve considered it something of a personal quest to develop projects and topics that my students will enjoy.  We just finished reading The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan.  I came up with a list of different activities that could be used. Here’s the link to my Google Document of the file (without the cool Papyrus lettering): http://tinyurl.com/6883gl2

The projects are due tomorrow, and I’m hoping that the students will all show the creativity that I know they have!

Do you have any tips for motivating the seemingly un-motivated?
