Hello, World!

School has started for the thirteenth year on the other side of the desk, and we’re off and running with Digital Citizenship, Math and Science, and building things in STEM class.

Most of my work this year so far has been figuring out which standards apply to my class and how to carry those out. I’m excited to work in PLCs with the grade-level teachers to enhance what they’re doing in their classrooms.

I’m looking forward to doing more coding things with my classroom, too. Last year we had great success with the Sphero Games, so I’m brainstorming on something related to this year’s theme, “The Amazing Race.”

Check out the video below for a recap of our Sphero Games:

A few exciting notes on the upcoming months: I’ll be presenting at the Wisconsin Lutheran State Teachers’ Conference at the end of October, and I’ll be doing a keynote speech and a couple breakout sessions at the Powerful Learning Conference in November. Maybe I’ll see you there!

Lastly, I’m excited to offer the opportunity for one-on-one or group trainings for Google Suite for Education! I got my Google for Education Certified Trainer certificate last winter, and I’m looking to fill up my calendar to help other people implement Google tools in the classroom. If you’d like to schedule a time to meet, please let me know!

Thanks for sharing your time by reading this post. Keep a song in your heart, and hope we can connect soon!
